Clarifying clarifying

"Trump's (and Putin's) Plan to Dissolve the EU and NATO."  This would make Trump and Putin the greatest statesmen of all time.

This always happens to the far right!:  "Here’s the Thing".

From the comment by james robertson:
"Xymphora is a proponent of the idea that behind many/most of the world ills lies the barely concealed influence of powerful Jewish interests. When he uses the term "clarifying" it will generally be a description of a particularly obnoxious and dishonest piece of propaganda written by a Jewish individual."
I think the first sentence is more or less true, but clarifying does not refer to Jews - I hardly need any more evidence of that kind of perfidy! - but to the post-Trump wailings of the credentialed class, the liberals, the 'left', 'progressives', and their ilk (of course, many of whom are, in fact, Jewish, with certainly violent racist supremacist motives).  These are the people who have tried to pass for progressive for years, whining about things that the Republicans have done, but we now know with their McCarthyism and warmongering that their attempts to pass as good, decent, moral people was all just partisan bullshit.  The liberals have proven to be no better than the Koch brothers. "Let us not forget, Senator McCain had an assistant fly all the way to London to get a copy of the report, in early December 2016, a copy he then personally handed over to FBI director Comey asking him to look into it. The report had been floating around Washington for weeks, all the FBI had to do was to pick it up basically, yet it took that move by McCain to bring the document to the attention of the Bureau, which was as clueless about the specifics of the allegations as the rest of the IC, if we are to believe DNI Clapper."

"Controversial Dossier on Trump Alleges That Russia Targets Jewish-American Businessmen".  Lots of code here for the concept of dual loyalty, and anti-treasonous attempts of Russia to deal with it.

Interstitiality is a term recently popularized in identity politics (see also intersectionality).  It was big in the Clinton campaign.  We used to call it 'double-dipping', the idea that various people ought to be able to get multiple gibs based on falling in multiple categories of victimhood.  Politics is reduced to the calculation of how much people are owed based on the number and type of oppressions they face.   The Trump hatred is so interstitial that the BuzzFeed attack was inevitable (and actually a strong tribute to Trump in that he scares so much Evil):

  1. BigJew and World Jewry who control the media hate Putin due to his effective blocking of the expansion of the Zionist Empire, and hate Trump for his isolationism and rebuttal of identity politics;
  2. the Ukrainians hate Putin for his deft recovery from the effects of the Maidan color revolution, and hate Trump out of sheer terror that he won't restart the Cold War, which they perceive as literally their last hope;
  3. The CIA hates Trump out of fear he will side with the Pentagon and vastly reduce CIA influence and corruption;
  4. Old cold warriors like McCain hate Trump due to his isolationism and sanity with respect to American-Russian relations;
  5. MI6 sides with their pals/bosses in the CIA; and
  6. There is likely treason within the Russian government by those assisting in the fabrication (and there may be NATO involvement, given the loss of power to NATO bureaucrats should any peace break out).
It is unwise to refer to this as a 'deep state' attack, as that obfuscates the nature and identity of the very identifiable actors involved, who have varying motives for the attack.  In fact, the failure of the attack to gain much traction outside the Jew-controlled media is evidence that other big players who are also parts of the deep state are still siding with Trump.  There are actually American patriots who who dislike Trump but find this kind of attempt at a foreign coup disturbing.

Factual errors

The Buzzfeed disinfo memo is frustrating as almost all of the 'facts' provided to us come from some intelligence operation (i.e., known professional liars).  About the only thing we know for sure is that there are a lot of Ukrainians in and around the operation, and a few glimpses we can get with meta-analysis.

"John McCain passes dossier alleging secret Trump-Russia contacts to FBI":
"Despite glowing references from US and foreign officials who have worked with the source, there are some errors in the reports. One describes the Moscow suburb of Barvikha as “reserved for the residences of the top leadership and their close associates”, but although it is a very expensive neighbourhood, there are no restrictions on who can own property there. The document also misspells the name of a Russian banking corporation."

and (date altering complicates the analysis):
"Some of the reports – which are dated from 20 June to 20 October last year – also proved to be prescient, predicting events that happened after they were sent." "

"10 key Donald Trump allegations from the classified Russia dossier":
"The documents contain some clear factual errors

Top level Russian official confirms current closeness of Alpha Group-Putin relationship. Significant favours continue to be done in both directions and Fridman and Aven still giving informal advice to Putin, especially on the US.

COMMENT: The company is named Alfa Group, not Alpha Group as it appears throughout the documents. Elsewhere, according to BuzzFeed News, the unnamed author describes the settlement of Barvikha, outside Moscow, as “reserved for the residences of the top leadership and their close associates”. It is not reserved for anyone, and it is also populated by the very wealthy, BuzzFeed News reports."
Steele is a former top-level MI6 counterintelligence agent specializing in Russia. He would not make these mistakes.  I have to conclude that somebody else wrote the material - educated guess, Ukrainians who would make these mistakes - and Steele sold his name to put on them and act as a spokesman in order to give them credibility.

"How the Trump dossier came to light: secret sources, a retired spy and John McCain" (my emphasis in red; what possible reason would there be to hide the city?):
"In mid-November, the documents took another route into Washington that ultimately led to them being mentioned in the joint intelligence report on Russian interference that was delivered to President Obama and President-elect Trump. On 18 November, the annual Halifax International Security Forum opened in the Canadian city, bringing together serving and former security and foreign policy officials from around the world.

Senator John McCain, a hawkish Republican, was there and was introduced to a former senior western diplomat who had seen the documents, knew their source and thought him highly reliable. McCain decided the implications were sufficiently alarming to dispatch a trusted emissary, a former US official, to meet the source and find out more.

The emissary hastily arranged a transatlantic flight and met the source at the airport as arranged. (The Guardian has agreed not to specify the city or country where the meeting took place.) The meeting had a certain cold war tradecraft to it, as he was told to look for a man with a copy of the Financial Times. Having found each other, the retired counter-intelligence officer drove the emissary to his house, where they discussed the documents and their background."

McCain is probably helping his neo-Nazi pals in Ukraine, as this whole operation had been a dud up to McCain's involvement:  "BuzzFeed Posts Unverified Claims on Trump, Igniting a Debate":
"But BuzzFeed’s move was welcomed by some people, who expressed concern that news outlets and government officials with access to the allegations had not disclosed them sooner. Almost immediately, the report’s publication prompted questions from Hillary Clinton’s camp about why the claims had not surfaced earlier.

“Today has brought a gush of reporting that outlets knew about and sat on prior to November 8,” Brian Fallon, Mrs. Clinton’s chief campaign spokesman, wrote on Twitter. He added, in a second message: “I repeat: certain media outlets were told this prior to November 8.”

Mother Jones, a left-leaning publication, published an article in late October about the existence of the information. Newsweek also published some of the allegations.

Immediately after BuzzFeed’s publication, some reporters volunteered that they, too, had received copies of the report. “Raise your hand if you too were approached with this story,” Julia Ioffe, a journalist who has written extensively on Russia, wrote on Twitter, adding that she had not reported on the information in the document “because it was impossible to verify.”

Writers at the blog Lawfare, which covers national security issues, said they had been in possession of the document “for a couple of weeks” but opted not to publish because the allegations were unproven."
It appears that the material was widely disseminated in mid to late October to the kind of 'journalists' who might take the bait.  The Corn piece from October 31 (which also refers to Harry Reid's vague allegations in his August 27 letter to Comey probably inspired by 'Steele's' first memo or memos in summer 2016):
"But Reid's recent note hinted at more than the Page or Manafort affairs. And a former senior intelligence officer for a Western country who specialized in Russian counterintelligence tells Mother Jones that in recent months he provided the bureau with memos, based on his recent interactions with Russian sources, contending the Russian government has for years tried to co-opt and assist Trump—and that the FBI requested more information from him.

"This is something of huge significance, way above party politics," the former intelligence officer says. "I think [Trump's] own party should be aware of this stuff as well."
Does this mean the FBI is investigating whether Russian intelligence has attempted to develop a secret relationship with Trump or cultivate him as an asset? Was the former intelligence officer and his material deemed credible or not? An FBI spokeswoman says, "Normally, we don't talk about whether we are investigating anything." But a senior US government official not involved in this case but familiar with the former spy tells Mother Jones that he has been a credible source with a proven record of providing reliable, sensitive, and important information to the US government.

In June, the former Western intelligence officer—who spent almost two decades on Russian intelligence matters and who now works with a US firm that gathers information on Russia for corporate clients—was assigned the task of researching Trump's dealings in Russia and elsewhere, according to the former spy and his associates in this American firm. This was for an opposition research project originally financed by a Republican client critical of the celebrity mogul. (Before the former spy was retained, the project's financing switched to a client allied with Democrats.) "It started off as a fairly general inquiry," says the former spook, who asks not to be identified. But when he dug into Trump, he notes, he came across troubling information indicating connections between Trump and the Russian government. According to his sources, he says, "there was an established exchange of information between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin of mutual benefit."

This was, the former spy remarks, "an extraordinary situation." He regularly consults with US government agencies on Russian matters, and near the start of July on his own initiative—without the permission of the US company that hired him—he sent a report he had written for that firm to a contact at the FBI, according to the former intelligence officer and his American associates, who asked not to be identified. (He declines to identify the FBI contact.) The former spy says he concluded that the information he had collected on Trump was "sufficiently serious" to share with the FBI.

Mother Jones has reviewed that report and other memos this former spy wrote. The first memo, based on the former intelligence officer's conversations with Russian sources, noted, "Russian regime has been cultivating, supporting and assisting TRUMP for at least 5 years. Aim, endorsed by PUTIN, has been to encourage splits and divisions in western alliance." It maintained that Trump "and his inner circle have accepted a regular flow of intelligence from the Kremlin, including on his Democratic and other political rivals." It claimed that Russian intelligence had "compromised" Trump during his visits to Moscow and could "blackmail him." It also reported that Russian intelligence had compiled a dossier on Hillary Clinton based on "bugged conversations she had on various visits to Russia and intercepted phone calls."

The former intelligence officer says the response from the FBI was "shock and horror." The FBI, after receiving the first memo, did not immediately request additional material, according to the former intelligence officer and his American associates. Yet in August, they say, the FBI asked him for all information in his possession and for him to explain how the material had been gathered and to identify his sources. The former spy forwarded to the bureau several memos—some of which referred to members of Trump's inner circle. After that point, he continued to share information with the FBI. "It's quite clear there was or is a pretty substantial inquiry going on," he says."

The most striking oddity is that the supposedly enormous amount of legitimate material against Trump, including all the mafia shenanigans required to be a casino operator/New York real estate developer, never made it into the race.  Democrats muttered about having it, but never produced it.

"The Deep State Goes to War with President-Elect, Using Unverified Claims, as Democrats Cheer".  What are the chances that this is a Roger Stone ratfucking operation?  It simultaneously makes the Clintonistas look like desperate poor losers with a pervy streak, ends any claims of legitimacy by the mainstream media in discussing Trump (or anything else), obfuscates under streams of pee any real corruption allegations - especially Russian ties - against Trump, while providing 100% distraction from the serious statements made in confirmation hearings, especially against Sessions.  Brilliant.  The only trick is the timing, and who controlled the timing of the release.

"Why Crowdstrike’s Russian Hacking Story Fell Apart 2 The DNI Report Faked Sources" (Steve Emerson and Rita Katz!!!):
"The only 2 groups that are known to possess X-Agent are Crowdstrike and the Ukrainian hacker RUH8.  The DNI report relies on both to hold their facts together. Both are discredited. The following admission should interest John Podesta.

According to a RFE/RL interview, “RUH8 says the Cyber Alliance uses “all tools and methods” at its disposal to hack into their perceived foes’ accounts. In particular, he says, spear-phishing — using messages that mimic those of legitimate companies along with a request and link to change personal security information — “is quite efficient. People readily give up their passwords and personal info,” he says. “They receive something in their [e-]mail like, ‘Your account will be suspended if you don’t confirm [your security details].’ They click that link and we have them.”

Is it me or has RUH8 done everything except openly confess to hacking Podesta? Spear-fishing is the tactic said to be used in the DNC hacking. Only 2 known groups have the X-Agent and only RUH8 states openly that they changed the course of world geopolitics. Neither of them has been investigated. Security analysts are starting to speculate that if there was a hack, the Ukrainians probably did it. The self-identifying Pravy Sektor members RUH8 are also claiming to have hacked the Russian government email. When the facts are considered, RUH8 may have done a hack to cover up the Craig Murray leak.

The FBI now in charge of domestic intelligence didn’t investigate anything. All the evidence to prove a Russian hack has been shown clearly to be flawed and faked. Crowdstrike is guilty of at least perjury based on their own statements and the evidence they gave to the FBI. The DNI and 17 Intel agencies are relying on neo-nazi group hackers that openly mock them.

This only leaves only one scenario that has an unblemished track record. Julian Assange and Craig Murray told the truth. The emails were leaked."

"I guess we can stop wondering whether CIA would ever turn against an elected president"

When the CIA's Putin-Trump lies don't convince the hotbed of liberalism, The New York Review of Books . . . :  "Russia, Trump & Flawed Intelligence":
"Despite its brevity, the report makes many repetitive statements remarkable for their misplaced modifiers, mangled assertions, and missing words. This is not just bad English: this is muddled thinking and vague or entirely absent argument. Take, for example, this phrase: “Moscow most likely chose WikiLeaks because of its self-proclaimed reputation for authenticity.” I think, though I cannot be sure, that the authors of the report are speculating that Moscow gave the products of its hacking operation to WikiLeaks because WikiLeaks is known as a reliable source. The next line, however, makes this speculation unnecessary: “Disclosures through WikiLeaks did not contain any evident forgeries.”

Or consider this: “Putin most likely wanted to discredit Secretary Clinton because he has publicly blamed her since 2011 for inciting mass protests against his regime in late 2011 and early 2012, and because he holds a grudge for comments he almost certainly saw as disparaging him.” Did Putin’s desire to discredit Clinton stem from his own public statements, or are the intelligence agencies basing their appraisal of Putin’s motives on his public statements? Logic suggests the latter, but grammar indicates the former. The fog is not coincidental: if the report’s vague assertions were clarified and its circular logic straightened out, nothing would be left."

Et tu, Jacobin?

"The United States does not want the Syrian opposition to acquire anti-aircraft missiles or MANPADS whereas some Western countries and the Gulf would like to send those weapons. But the opposition is forming these demands for no-fly zones because of the US embargo preventing such weapons from entering Syria. If the opposition really had those type of weapons, the no-fly zone would not be necessary because people would be able to defend themselves and strike back if the Syrian jets or the Russian jets are bombing their cities and villages. That’s my position and I think that should be the position of the Left."

"In passing, allow me to destroy quickly the “we have smoking gun evidence but it’s too secret to show you” argument. Given the Snowden revelations and the whistleblowing of the former NSA Technical Director Bill Binney, for the US government to claim to be hiding the fact that it can tack all electronic traffic in the USA is risible. This is like saying we can’t give you the evidence in case the Russians find out the sky is blue. If there were hacks, the NSA could identify the precise hack transmitting the precise information out of Washington. Everybody knows that. There were no hacks so there is no evidence. End of argument. They are internal leaks."

From October:  "Israeli embassy embraces extremists to save flagging brand":
"Embassy official Rony Yedidia-Clein, who said she was “delighted” to be at the event, introduced Ohana with remarks of her own, and spent the rest of the event contributing answers and comments in response to audience questions.

Yedidia-Clein gave the impression of an embassy that has its work cut out, bemoaning the fact that “today it’s become almost a badge of honour for someone to call themselves an anti-Zionist, and a term of shame for someone to call themselves a Zionist.”

According to the diplomat, the embassy has been working to establish local “friends of Israel” groups, and she praised the work of “people in the room” who have “helped…us at the embassy” to set up 40 such organisations in the past two years, citing Inverness (see here) and Jersey (see here)."
Assange's anarcho-conspiracy theory.  The reaction of the conspirators to leaks is to close down their communications structures which are vitally necessary for the conspirators to operate.  One problem with this is exemplified in the American election itself, where Assange fatally messed up the Democratic Party (it would be interesting to know if the failed technical campaign by the Democrats was in part due to terror at leaks), an act which just allowed another better-armed group of conspirators to prevail.

Yet the same government feeds the U.S. media with the story that it intercepted communications of top Russian officials just after the U.S. election celebrating Trump’s victory. Did that story not run that risk? The U.S. government feeds the U.S. media (specifically the “free” press of the Washington Post whose owner makes more money from the CIA than from the Washington Post) that Russia has hacked Vermont’s electrical supply, and — because this was a claim that could be checked by an independent party — the secret methods of the CIA quickly turned out to be these: they had simply made the thing up."

"US Report Still Lacks Proof on Russia ‘Hack’" (Parry; conclusive argument I'd say, with the CIA giving Putin credit for predicting a certain Trump win when nobody else did):
". . . while it is true that many Russian officials, including President Putin, considered Clinton to be a threat to worsen the already frayed relationship between the two nuclear superpowers, the report ignores the downside for Russia trying to interfere with the U.S. election campaign and then failing to stop Clinton, which looked like the most likely outcome until Election Night.
If Russia had accessed the DNC and Podesta emails and slipped them to WikiLeaks for publication, Putin would have to think that the National Security Agency, with its exceptional ability to track electronic communications around the world, might well have detected the maneuver and would have informed Clinton.
So, on top of Clinton’s well-known hawkishness, Putin would have risked handing the expected incoming president a personal reason to take revenge on him and his country. Historically, Russia has been very circumspect in such situations, usually holding its intelligence collections for internal purposes only, not sharing them with the public.
While it is conceivable that Putin decided to take this extraordinary risk in this case – despite the widely held view that Clinton was a shoo-in to defeat Trump – an objective report would have examined this counter argument for him not doing so."

By stealing emails that exposed the true behind the scenes political scheming and machinations by the DNC and Hillary’s campaign. Nothing destroys ones faith in our “democratic” process more quickly than learning that Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to rig the primaries against Bernie Sanders. In other words, those crafty Rooskies were going to flood America with truth."

"UK intelligence gave US key tipoff about Russian hacking, report says".  You'll remember the intelligence technique used in the lies which led to the Iraq war whereby the 'intelligence' is burnished by feeding it through another country, thus giving your own lies the appearance of verification by a disinterested third party (Niger yellowcake).  This 'outside' information also makes it easier to stovepipe it, i.e., feed it directly into the political system without the usual intelligence expert vetting for credibility:  "The Stovepipe".

"Leaked Sec Kerry Audio that CNN & NY Times Tried to Hide — Confirms US Role in Rise of ISIS":
"Highlighting exactly why WikiLeaks is the gold standard of journalism, both the NY Times and CNN chose to only report on certain aspects of the recording and omitting the most damning comments made by Kerry. Essentially, they attempted to hide from public view the statements that would allow Americans to understand what has actually taken place in Syria – a regime change operation.
The NY Times never published the full audio, only publishing selected snippets, and CNN removed the audio altogether, with an editor’s note stating that they took down the audio recording at the request of some of the participants out of concern for their personal safety.
During the conversation, John Kerry admitted that he pushed for intervention in Syria, but eventually lost the argument.
‘“I lost the argument for use of force in Syria,” John Kerry told the members of the Syrian Opposition.
“The audio gives a glimpse into what goes on outside official meetings. Note that it represents the US narrative and not necessarily the entire true narrative,” according to WikiLeaks.
The leaked recording confirms three clear and important facts that thoroughly destroy the official U.S. stance on Syria the past 5 years, and highlights the convoluted U.S. support of Islamist insurgents in Syria. These facts are likely the reason for this story being buried by the mainstream media.
1. Secretary of State John Kerry admits and outlines the Obama administration’s primary goal in Syria was regime change and the removal of Bahar al-Assad.
2. In order to accomplish the primary goal of regime change, the White House allowed the rise of ISIS. The administration hoped that ISIS’ growing power in Syria would force Syrian President Bashir Assad into a diplomatic solution, on U.S. terms, forcing him to cede power.
3. As a means of accomplishing these two objectives, the U.S. intentionally armed ISIS and even, arguably, attacked a Syrian government military convoy to stop a strategic attack upon the Islamic extremists killing 80 Syrian soldiers."

"Nation With Crumbling Bridges And Roads Excited To Build Giant Wall":
"Harland Dorrinson, the executive director of a Washington-based think tank called the Center for Responsible Immigration, believes that most Americans favor the building of border walls over extravagant pet projects like structurally sound freeway overpasses.

“The estimated cost of a border wall with Mexico is five billion dollars,” he said. “We could easily blow the same amount of money on infrastructure repairs and have nothing to show for it but functioning highways.”

Congress has dragged its feet on infrastructure spending in recent years, but Dorrinson senses growing support in Washington for building a giant border wall. “Even if for some reason we don’t get the Mexicans to pay for it, five billion is a steal,” he said.

While some think that America’s declining infrastructure is a national-security threat, Dorrinson strongly disagrees. “If immigrants somehow get over the wall, the condition of our bridges and roads will keep them from getting very far,” he said."

"Zionist Extremism as Product of the Internal Dynamics of Judaism" by Kevin MacDonald:
"An important mechanism underlying all this is that of rallying around the flag during times of crisis, a phenomenon that is well understood by social psychologists. Group identification processes are exaggerated in times of resource competition or other perceived sources of threat,131 a finding that is highly compatible with an evolutionary perspective.132 External threat tends to reduce internal divisions and maximize perceptions of common interest among ingroup members, as we have seen among American Jews in response to perceived crises in Israel, ranging from the Six-Day War of 1967 to the unending crises of the 1990s and into the new millennium.133 Jewish populations also respond to threat by developing messianic ideologies, rallying around charismatic leaders, and expelling dissenters from the community. Traditionally this has taken the form of religious fundamentalism, as among the Hasidim, but in the modern world these tendencies have been manifested in various forms of leftist radicalism, Zionism, and other Jewish intellectual and political movements.134 Throughout Jewish history, this siege mentality has tended to increase conflict between Jews and non-Jews which then has a feed-forward effect of increasing the perception of threat among Jews. In the context of the intense ethnic conflict of nineteenth-century Eastern Europe, the conflict was exacerbated by an enormous increase in the Jewish population and the resulting poverty.

And in all cases, the leaders of this process are the more ethnocentric, committed Jews. They are the ones who donate to Jewish causes, attend rallies, write letters, join and support activist organizations. As J. J. Goldberg, the editor of the Forward, notes, Jews who identify themselves as doves feel much less strongly about Israel than those who identify themselves as hawks. “Jewish liberals give to the Sierra Fund. Jewish conservatives are Jewish all the time. That’s the whole ball game. It’s not what six million American Jews feel is best — it’s what 50 Jewish organizations feel is best.”135 In other words, it’s the most radical, committed elements of the Jewish community that determine the direction of the entire community."

The Ukrainian conspiracy

"The Anonymous Blacklist Promoted by the Washington Post Has Apparent Ties to Ukrainian Fascism and CIA Spying" (Ames):
"The only specific clues given were an admission that at least one of its members with access to its Twitter handle is “Ukrainian-American”. They had given this away in a handful of early Ukrainian-language tweets, parroting Ukrainian ultranationalist slogans, before the group was known.

One PropOrNot tweet, dated November 17, invokes a 1940s Ukrainian fascist salute “Heroiam Slava!!” to cheer a news item on Ukrainian hackers fighting Russians. The phrase means “Glory to the heroes” and it was formally introduced by the fascist Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) at their March-April 1941 congress in Nazi occupied Cracow, as they prepared to serve as Nazi auxiliaries in Operation Barbarossa."

"DNC Refused to Give FBI Access to Its Servers … Instead Gave Access to a DNC Consultant Tied to Organization Promoting Conflict with Russia".  Dimitri Alperovitch.

The DNC wants an excuse not to have to reform itself (and all the heavy intelligence analysis lifting comes from a DNC contractor with ties to Ukrainians who want to damage American-Russian relations), the CIA doesn't want Trump to strip it of power (while the NSA, which should have all the info if it is a hack rather than a leak, is quiet), and the Ukrainians - not to mention the constant Cold Warriors, McCain and Graham - want to restart the Cold War leading to WWIII against the hated Russia.  It is a confluence of the interests of scoundrels, and the analysis of what is really going on here isn't difficult.

Very strange

What should be the above-the-fold headline in every American newspaper:  "DNC Refused to Give FBI Access to Its Servers … Instead Gave Access to a DNC Consultant Tied to Organization Promoting Conflict with Russia".  There are foreign interests involved in manipulating American politics, but they are not Russians but rather Ukrainian extreme right-wingers trying to start WWIII.  "As Pro-European Protests Seize Ukraine, Jewish Oligarch Victor Pinchuk Is A Bridge To The West".  "Ukraine's Victor Pinchuk: The Oligarch In The Middle Of The Crisis".

It was very discouraging to see Trump take on this neocon piece of shit, and thus very encouraging to see him go out in this undignified way. It appears Woolsey had neither the power to insist on being kept in the loop, or the integrity to keep from leaking to the CIA the Trump-Flynn plans to rein in the intelligence swamp monsters.

"Zionist Extremism as Product of the Internal Dynamics of Judaism, Part 3: A Risky Strategy Becomes Mainstream" by
Kevin MacDonald:
"The point is that movements that start out on the extreme of the Jewish political spectrum eventually end up driving the entire process, so that in the end not only American Jews but pro-Israeli non-Jewish politicians end up mouthing the rhetoric that was formerly reserved for extremists within the Jewish community. In 2003, at a time when there are well over one hundred Israeli settlements on the West Bank and Gaza filled with fanatic fundamentalists and armed zealots intent on eradicating the Palestinians, it is revealing that Moshe Sharett, Israeli prime minister in the 1950s, worried that the border settlements were composed of well-armed exsoldiers—extremists who were intent on expanding the borders of Israel. Immediately after the armistice agreement of 1948 Israeli zealots, sometimes within the army and sometimes in the nascent settler movement, began a long string of provocations of Israel’s neighbors.104 An operation of the Israeli army (under the leadership of Ariel Sharon) that demolished homes and killed civilians at Qibya in 1953 was part of a broader plan: “The stronger the tensions in the region, the more demoralized the Arab populations and destabilized the Arab regimes, the stronger the pressures for the transfer of the concentrations of Palestinian refugees from places near the border away into the interior of the Arab world—and the better it was for the preparation of the next war.”105 At times the army engaged in provocative actions without Prime Minister Sharett’s knowledge,106 as when David Ben-Gurion, Israel’s first prime minister, led a raid in 1955 which resulted in a massacre of Arabs in Gaza. When confronted with his actions by an American Jew, Ben-Gurion “stood up. He looked like an angry prophet out of the Bible and got red in the face. He shouted, ‘I am not going to let anybody, American Jews or anyone else, tell me what I have to do to provide for the security of my people.”107

The war to occupy the West Bank did not take place until 1967, but Sharett describes plans by the Israeli army to occupy the West Bank dating from 1953. Throughout the period from 1948–1967 “some of the major and persistent accusations” by the Israeli right were that the Labor-dominated governments had accepted the partition of Palestine and had not attempted to “eradicate Palestinian boundaries” during the 1948 war.108 The annexation of East Jerusalem and the settlement of the West Bank began immediately after the 1967 war—exactly what would be expected on the assumption that this was a war of conquest. Menachem Begin, who accelerated the settlement process when he assumed power in 1977, noted, “In June 1967, we again had a choice. The Egyptian Army concentrations in the Sinai approaches do not prove that [Egyptian President] Nasser was really about to attack us. We must be honest with ourselves. We decided to attack him.”109"
